Carey-Anne is a director in the project development and finance team, specialising in debt and equity aspects of project finance and public private partnerships.

Carey-Anne has advised clients on several limited recourse project finance transactions (including across the energy, resources and infrastructure sectors), equity investments, partnerships and joint ventures as well as syndicated and term loans.

Carey-Anne has also advised numerous clients in relation to accommodation, telecommunications, renewable energy, toll road and various road related infrastructure projects, as well as captive power projects and independent funding of renewable energy projects in Africa.

  • Africa Rainbow Energy & Power in respect of the financing of the equity investments in the SOLA sponsored PPA with ARM
  • advising G7 Renewable Energies in respect of the development, construction, financing,  operation, and maintenance of an Onshore Wind power generation facility of 140MWac capacity at the Delivery Point (Project Facility) situated between Sutherland and Matjiesfontein in the Northern and Western Cape Provinces to be dispatched to Northam Platinum Mine;
  • advised Ubuzwe Sola Investment Proprietary Limited and Revego Africa Energy Fund Partnership in respect of their equity investment in respect of the development, installation and operation of a 150MW solar PV plant in the Free State by SOLA Group (Project Springbok)
  • G7 Renewable Energies and Engie as Sponsors and Developers in respect of a potential hybrid power project in the RM IPP PP and then in respect of the project as preferred bidder (this will be the largest utility scale hybrid power project using wind, solar PV and BESS in Africa)
  • EDF in respect of 520MW of wind and solar PV projects and PPAs to provide power to Envusa Energy, jointly owned by Anglo American
